Aviation Case Study

The Client:

A global leader in aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), providing responsive, quality support for turbine engines, helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft and components.

The Problem:

Because the client works on a multi-site basis, difficulties arose in locating, accessing and sharing vital maintenance records.The amount of paperwork being generated was becoming impossible to manage and storing these records appropriately was imposing a large cost burden upon the client.

The Solution:

Mitech Systems is tasked with scanning the client’s entire archive and make scheduled monthly collections to scan live records as they are created. The client requested that they receive their digitised information back in a CD format which had simple ‘plug-and-play’ capabilities, while being secured with username and password combinations. The client also utilises Mitech’s Scan-on-Demand service to allow them to have rapid access to records which are part-way through the scanning process. Following scanning, Mitech is required to destroy all hard-copy records and provide the client with destruction certificates in compliance with the Data protection Act 1998.
